Before deciding to fully commit myself to cultivating wellbeing, I worked for several years in teaching and libraries. Teaching – in secondary and adult education – developed my skill for quickly finding the right ways to guide people with different personalities and learning styles to the knowledge they needed. As a librarian, I gained further experience of relating with people, both individually and in groups – creating the right dynamics for sharing and learning in a relaxed, inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.
Over the years, concurrently with teaching and librarianship (and volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Society as a Dementia Champion), my lifelong interest in health and wellbeing led me to meditation, yoga, EFT and reiki. My educational history, beyond a first degree in linguistics and postgraduate degrees in linguistics, librarianship and teaching, includes qualifications in:
· EFT/TFT Tapping Master Practitioner
· Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Practitioner
· Certified Meditation Guide
· Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
· Reiki Master
· Animal Reiki Practitioner
I am insured and accredited by the Complementary Therapists Accredited Association (CTAA Membership Number 10662357).
